  • Latin American gangs used dogs to smuggle drugs to Italy

Originally published on July 11, 2013 Latin American drug gangs have been using dogs to smuggle cocaine from Mexico to Milan, Italian police say. Members of youth drug gangs called "pandillas" allegedly hid packets of cocaine inside large dogs and flew the drugs from Mexico to Milan. Plastic bags containing the cocaine were wrapped in black vinyl tape to shield them from airport X-ray checks. A veterinarian in Mexico forced the dogs to swallow the cocaine. The dogs then were then flown from Mexico to Milan, where they were killed and dismembered to retrieve the drugs. The cocaine smuggling operation was discovered in March, when 75 people were arrested. An Italian judge has ordered 49 Peruvian, Ecuadorean and Salvadoran nationals ranging in age from 19 to 37 years old to stand trial in...

Police dog walking through airport on lead STORYLINE: Security around Latin American airports was increased on Thursday after news of a foiled plot to blow up multiple flights from Britain to the United States. In Buenos Aires, Argentina an anti-bomb robot was placed outside of Ezeiza Airport, as part of increased security measures. One passenger told AP Television that security did seem increased, but not all that much. In Mexico City, passengers waited in long lines amid increased police presence. However, passengers at neither airport experienced lengthy delays. In various US cities, passengers travelling to Latin America stood in line for hours and airport trash bins bulged with everything from mouthwash to maple syrup as authorities banned all liquids and gels from being carried aboard aircraft. The precautions came after the arrest of 24 people in an alleged plot to blow up US-bound planes from the UK using explosives disguised as drinks and other common products. In Boston, Rosa Acuna, a passenger travelling to Guadalajara, Mexico via Houston, Texas told AP Television, "It is very difficult because we have to carry milk, snacks, juice for the babies and we just heard that we have to leave all that behind." However, Mina Marguez a passenger waiting in line at Los Angeles' LAX, didn't seem bothered at all, and even offered advice to those vexed by the added security. There seems to be a frantic race by Latin government pin-heads to gouge foreign air travelers -In Latin Countries virtually no one has clean municipal tap water. 50% of the population has water pressure only part of the day and another 15% of Latins have no running water in their houses at all(they bathe and pull water from a river or lake). So what does all that mean for Expats living down here expecting flawless first-world water delivery systems? Should we be worried? For example: Panama is #5 in the world for total yearly rainfall (out of 200 countries) yet half the population doesn’t have 24/7 access to water. Why? It’s just normal Latin lazy-ass corrupt government again: what else is new? -Is Costa Rica the next Greece? Sure looks like… -Ecuador has decided it wants to be a Big Brother state just like the USA. You won’t believe what kind tough of BB surveillance laws they have been passing lately. But can or will they be enforced? Well… this is Latin America, and technology and cameras do need maintenance. And the “M” word is not yet in the Latin vocabulary. So at first maybe there’ll be a kind of crack down while everything works, but after some months it may just revert to Latin business as usual. Following the strict instructions by the president of the US Mr. Donald Trump, the US police along with the customs and immigration agencies are cracking with a whip on the illegal immigrants. Apart from beefing up of security and strict surveillance at airports and port of entry points in the US, the authorities have been conducting inspections at residential colonies, flats and houses. The authorities are installing checkpoints at railway stations and other places to nab illegal immigrants. The video is related to the checkpoint at the East 149th station/3rd Ave 2, 5 Train station. The checkpoints are increased in New York and at local train stations. This video is sent from a citizen of America to ‘CrimeNews Team’ for uploading the same in our YouTube channel. An official said that the checking and inspections were being taken up to nab Latinos and Mexicans who cross the border illegally and residing in the US without prior documents but, not for nabbing Indians or the citizens of other countries.
